October is here, and we've got all kinds of fun planned for kids
and families! First, join us this Thursday, October 4th, at 4:30
p.m. for a very special storytime with Elder Cathy Lindsay
(recipient of the 2017 Bread and Roses award) in celebration of
First Nations Public Library Week! Enjoy delicious treats, peruse
our growing collection of kids' titles by Indigenous authors and
illustrators, get cozy and creative, and enjoy wonderful
*New program: drop-in for "Little Kids' Storytime" on Wednesday mornings at 10:00. Interactive silly storytime and play for kids aged 2ish to 4ish and their caregivers (a little older and a little younger are welcome too!).
*Storytime for kids ages 4ish and up on Thursday evenings at 4:30 and Saturdays at 11 a.m.
*Special Forest School Storytime with Ms Kay! Thursday Oct 18th from 6-7 p.m. - in celebration of Ontario Public Library Week!
*Halloween FUN DAY! Friday Oct 26th (PD Day) 1-4 p.m. Start with crafts, games and spooky fun at either the Kenora Public Library/EarlyON --OR-- the Lake of the Woods Museum, and scavenger hunt/trick-or-treat down the West side of Main Street collecting "bones", which can be traded in for a loot bag at either location! BOO!
